I've had a ton of different jobs in life, but this place is like home to me. What initially blew me away was one of the owners coming around quite often to check on the little guy and shakes people's hands to let them know that they are appreciated. Where else can you find that kind of respect? How can an employee thrive if they do not feel respected, valued and appreciated?
Are there days that I'm tearing my hair out? Certainly, but that is indicative of the important work that I'm doing which would be the same anywhere else. Although my job is super challenging, I know that I can go all the way to the top if I have a question and that I'll be heard and that they will give me their immediate attention. One of the beautiful things about this company is that they built it from the ground up. So they know what it is like to be in the trenches and working hard.
This is not a place for those who do not want to work hard and grow also. Having worked in a number of different fields in my life, you are going to see that some people want to grow and some people want to remain stagnant and just be there to collect their paycheck in whatever company they work for.
I've been at enough jobs where I've had to carry the weight of other employees that don't want to work hard as well. So I greatly appreciate the fact that they place so much effort in finding great candidates because that is going to have a huge impact on the work environment. I work hard, my opinion is valued and my voice is heard.
My ideas are put into action and become reality. I can choose who I am and what I accomplish here. The only barrier between what I want and what I have, is me. DBSI gives me complete control over my own destiny. I am empowered by my boss, I feel complete support from the management team and I will probably be here for the rest of my life unless DBSI determines a separation.
Even if they did for some reason, need to let me go, I would still sing their praises and love this company. I am forever grateful for the opportunities I've been given. The work life balance is great and I have children, which they understand. This purple army is more like a purple family.
The care for employees is genuine. Our talent director is warm and relatable, our owner shakes hands every day with all the employees, our CFO is not afraid to get his hands dirty and understands the business, even the day to day which I've not found anywhere else. Our CEO listens to our ideas. Truly and thoughtfully and I have seen so many employees dreams come to life.
My peers really make my work day amazing and with the new change of being work from home, our marketing dept has created these really fun weekly events that we can do from zoom meetings, because they care about our well being and our need to stay connected. DBSI is always a step ahead, always thinking about what our clients needs are and we deliver. I can see the impact of my personal contributions and at the end of the day, I feel so good about what we have accomplished together. Hard work is rewarded at DBSI.
My experience with DBSI has been excellent. They understand the value of innovation and dedication and they foster creative collaboration, especially in the design and marketing departments. The company is always pushing the limits of technology and actively changing the fintech experience. It's an exciting operation to be involved in and people are only limited by their interests and initiative.

DBSI declared bankruptcy in MedCap and Provident shut down in after the Securities and Exchange Commission charged both with securities fraud.
